Standing Against Gender-Based Violence: Partnering with Gender Mobile Counseling Initiative

Gender-based violence (GBV) remains one of the most pressing social issues in our communities, affecting individuals across different ages, backgrounds, and social classes. At The 7-Fifteen Philanthropic Foundation (The 7-Fifteen Foundation), we believe that everyone deserves to live free from fear, harm, and discrimination.

This is why we have partnered with the Gender Mobile Counseling Initiative (GMCI) to strengthen the fight against gender-based violence, ensuring that survivors receive the support they need and that society as a whole becomes more aware and proactive in preventing GBV.

Why This Partnership Matters

Gender-based violence is not just a private issue—it is a societal problem that requires our collective action. Survivors often face emotional trauma, stigma, and barriers to seeking justice.

Through our collaboration with GMCI, we are working to:

  • Provide Counseling and Support Services: Survivors of GBV need a safe space to heal. GMCI offers professional counseling services to help individuals process their experiences and rebuild their confidence.
  • Raise Awareness and Educate Communities: Knowledge is a powerful tool in combating GBV. Our partnership focuses on awareness campaigns, school programs, and community discussions to shift mindsets and promote gender equality.
  • Advocate for Policy Change: Addressing GBV requires systemic transformation. Together, we advocate for stronger legal frameworks and enforcement mechanisms to protect victims and hold perpetrators accountable.
